What we do
Laumann Legal helps turn environmental advocacy into action. We review and draft comments on proposed rules, plans, and permits; shape policy positions; train advocates; provide mentoring; and offer behind-the-scenes legal strategy—giving organizations and communities the tools they need to hold polluters accountable and push for cleaner air.
Clean air is a right, not a privilege. My goal is to make sure communities have the tools to claim that right.

Meet Sara
I’m Sara Laumann, an environmental attorney who has spent more than three decades working to protect clean air and strengthen environmental policy. Instead of retiring, I chose to launch Laumann Legal as my encore—for the environment. This work is my way of giving back: supporting nonprofits, community groups, and advocates who are fighting for healthier air and environmental justice.
With deep experience in Clean Air Act legal matters, policy, and litigation, I bring clarity, purpose, and unwavering commitment to communities and advocates. Having spent decades inside government agencies, I now focus on making the law understandable and actionable so people can protect their air and hold polluters accountable.
